Pretty clear repubs can’t be trusted with our public lands. At all. Period

I like that you're exposing this outrageous attempt to convert public lands into more money for the obscenely wealthy. But - I want to be clear that when I clicked the "like" button, I was NOT "liking" the Republican attempt to do so. We here in Iowa are an excellent example of what happens when land is not held for the public by the Federal government. 98% of our land is privately owned and is accessible only to the privileged few. To be fair, about 70% of the state is in row crop agriculture and there wouldn't be much reason to want to access it. But there are still some nice natural areas in the state, including some on private land. AND - our Republican led State Legislature is currently attempting to make it MORE difficult to transfer land from private to public ownership.

Thanks for pulling back the current on Zinke's bill. I knew it was too good to be true that the man who implemented the reduction of national monuments might have had a change of heart.

To quote a cabinet secretary who asked to remain anonymous, "That man is a fraud."

From an Indigenous standpoint that’s not much of a change. It’s already long-standing history.
