That's awesome. Thanks Wes for sharing, which I believe Kathleen might have attended because I had shared (with a group that Kathleen and I part) the original post of the Resistance Rangers.
This may be one of the most important posts and topics of your writing career to date. Thank you sharing this message and encouraging others to take meaningful action!!!!!
Thank you Wes. This is beautiful. Definitely I was able to encourage a cadre of folks to join at Pisgah NF, Blue Ridge Parkway, Carl Sandburg site, and the Presidio in SF. And maybe some other spots. This all thanks to your share.
I attended the rally at Point Reyes National Seashore. About 150 people showed and a former park ranger spoke for a few minutes to thank everyone. Thank you Wes for your awesome reporting!
I applaud you for going and covering the protests. I didn’t get my act together to get out to one due to short notice, so I feel guilty & regretful. I wish the national park action had been coordinated with action on national monuments & other national conservation lands managed by the BLM. We need more coverage of the likelihood Trump & Congress will repeal the Antiquities Act, gutting the tool Republican & Democratic presidents have used to declare national monuments for special protection and stewardship.
Thank you, Wes for sharing news. The parks mean so much to me (I am volunteering for NPS in my retirement) & I am very much hoping I can participate in an upcoming protest. Right now, I split my time between Wash DC & Chincoteague Virginia so there are potential park protest targets (Shenandoah NP, various DC Metro park units, Assateague NS, etc) but I'm out of the loop on joining others for impact.
Wonderful idea to rally for our precious parks and the people who take care of them for us. I hope there is a rally at Independence Hall in Philadelphia. This is an important park. And Valley Forge where people fought for democracy. I will keep checking.
I attended the Protect our Parks rally in San Francisco. Here is the SF Chronicle article about the protests in Northern California. This might be behind a paywall. Sorry for that. https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/national-parks-protests-yosemite-presidio-muir-woo-20195162.php

Keep reading, that's the stuff I cover.

In addition to showing up to the demonstrations, are there any organizations related to this that we can donate money to?
Stay tuned.
