Let’s not kid ourselves. NEPA hasn’t made logging “better” for wildlife or waterways, just easier. It’s been one of the few tools communities have to fight destructive projects, and now even that’s on the chopping block. This won’t help economies or stop wildfires, but it will shred ecosystems and accelerate climate and biodiversity collapse.
