Everything is such an uphill battle for us and I will not tire out. Keep sending the great info so we are better informed to tell others and make some headway on saying no to those in power. Sell off Steve does not deserve to be anywhere near public lands!

Very disappointing questions and sad my senators weren't there. Of course not, from CT. It doesn't matter how much I call and email for them to give a shit about public lands. It would be nice to see people speak up instead of kiss ass. Even disappointed with Heinrich which I'm surprised about. What the hell.

Heinrich really isn't coming across well right now.

Sad, he used to be very vocal about protecting public lands

Good article. One thing that would help is clarifying the acronyms. I guess we the readers could look them up, but I generally try to state the full name in the first use, then use the acronym. 'Frinstance, "The Nationl Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) has been twisted by the current adminstration into something not envisioned by its authors. NEPA was adopted in response to environmentally damaging projects going forward ..."

Outdoor recreation is a huge economic driver in the rural West, including Utah. Lee doesn't seem to care about that.

Steve Pearce, another man to help Trump in reversing every environmental protection of America’s public lands and sell off them off like real estate, including foreign billionaires.

Currently up for vote in the Senate is bill H.J. Res. 140 that will remove “Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness” BWCAW, from its status of environmentally protected land. This is not about protecting water for canoeing as you might assume from the title, this is about an important water shed, and protecting the surrounding land.

The passage of this bill will allow Chilean billionaire Luksic, owner of Antofagasta, to mine our country’s minerals for his profit, ruining an important water shed and leaving behind a polluted environment.

Bill H.J. Res. 140 only requires a simple majority to pass and is now before our Senate, call your Senators and tell them to vote “No” on H.J. Res. 140.

“most of it, we do not even need.”

That right there is very scary. Need? Define "need".

This admin is way too much about dollars and cents and treat these lands like a liability. Once it's gone, it's gone. And I don't care what he says now, anybody in this admin will outright lie to do what the prez and the Project 2025 gang what they want.

Trump a trust fund baby, hasn't ever been truly in "need" of anything. He has no business telling us what we don't need, he always takes whatever he 'wants'. He sees our lands as low hanging fruit, highly profitable real estate deals.

How many golf courses does Trump need? None.

Sickness of greed.
