Thanks for staying on top of this stuff. I tried for a while, but I’m a service worker not a journalist. I wish there was a way to get people to vote for work toward pragmatic solutions rather than partisan tribalism. It could be neither party is serving the local interests of Western communities, but the “solutions” offered by many of the elected officials are so transparently bad it’s difficult to understand how the ever got elected.

The December issue of High Country News; published from Paonia, CO and other locations around the West; has a joint article, with ProPublica, about the corruption contained in the federal land grazing programs in the West. Too much to go into here, but Pearce will exacerbate an already bad situation.

Don't quickly remember his name, but also read a recent anti-Pearce article from a true conservative and past chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party.
