Love this! We visited National Parks in CA and Utah this past Sept. Yellowstone & Glacier are next on the list!

I call my republican rep daily x5 and the environment is a frequent topic!

Thank you for this talk and I will stand in front of those Chilean dozers if need be. Hoping and praying this administration will be brought down by their treasonous acts of monetary gain from South America to the deserts of the Middle East. 🌿

Montana elected reps have never cared about common people or wildlife--only wealthy ranchers, hunters and trappers--unfortunately.

Listened intently; restacked & shared, but oppose seeing the Bundy’s as “the good guys.”

It’s heart-sickening that Federal BLM stooges are now backpedaling on issues of conservation that they built their careers upon; the fuckers now threatening to fell and log enormous swaths of pristine Oregon old-growth forests that are crucial for our planet’s ability to clear toxic gases and for our legacy of gorgeous places and wildlife.

Even people outside of Montana are quite concerned about data centers and their tremendous use of water and energy.

Wes, i am so pleased to see the two of you together, giving our parks more attention. with the firehose of news, parks and lands can fall to the bottom of the list. I sincerely hope this video with steve schmidt brings more attention to the dire conditions created by this regime and doug burgum (secty of the interior)!

The Bundys getting a pass for how they degrade pubic lands with their grazing practices?

Just NO, Wes.

A.Bundy getting a pass for bulldozing at the Malheur? Just NO, Wes. No matter what historic “rights” to land use the Bundys claim or can justify, his discounting (and outright desecration) of the Amerindians who preceded them disqualifies such claims.

The Bundys don’t get to claim that “agency” began when THEIR bloodline planted a flag.

YOU rely on the “conservation” service that hunters provide. Yes, that is a real and pragmatic force that has countered the greed of industrial capitalism. But that was only necessary because of the rapacious selfishness of hunters like the ranchers that the Bundys are. They are kin to the wholesale American Buffalo genociders.

It is not responsible land and natural resource management that is their aim, it is selfish Wreck Creation.

"ONLY IN AMERICA"!!! About 94% of Canada's forest lands are publicly owned, and harvesting is only allowed through government-granted licences. “The majority of Canada's forest land, about 94%, is publicly owned and managed by provincial, territorial and federal governments.”

Wes Siler's avatar

Canada's lands are owned by the British royal family, not the Canadian people.

Sounds great!

I agree with what Siler is saying and want more people to talk about the environment and climate change, but I am also anti-hunting and take offense to the bear pelt on the wall...

Hi Susan, I understand the sentiment, but hunting is the mechanism by which we've been so successful with animal conservation in this country. I'd encourage you to learn beyond the emotion if you truly care about wildlife: https://wessiler.substack.com/p/the-difference-between-conservation
