Virginia and I are about to hop in the Land Cruiser to drive to North Dakota for a wedding, but I wanted to quickly share something
texted me this morning.“Republicans want to pretend this is just a Mike Lee thing,” Ryan texted. “Act like it’s one bad apple. That’s bullshit and here is POTUS admitting same yesterday. We should not let them off the mat—this is a Republican thing. Burgum started it early, now their god-king is pushing it from the Presidential podium.”
You can read more about that here, but just a reminder that the GOP is currently engaged in an effort to sell off up to 3.3 million acres of your land in the FY2026 budget, and the bill that does that contains language that could authorize future sales of 295 million acres more. All so that billionaires can get a tax cut. All while still adding $3.4 trillion to the deficit.

Even if this weren’t the most wrongheaded climate and conservation policy, you don’t just build houses. You need water and sewers and an emergency response infrastructure. That all takes time and money. I can’t even with dimwits who believe any of this is anything but complete claptrap and noise from moronic politicians.
Here's why the housing argument is bullshit: https://open.substack.com/pub/wessiler/p/bullshit-doug-burgum-giving-away?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android&r=36iot
