Earlier today, employees at the Department of the Interior (which manages the National Park Service) received an email offering early retirement or voluntary separation incentive payments. The move comes as NPS reportedly aims to reduce its total payroll by 30 percent, and as DOI continues to ignore court orders to rehire probationary employees fired en masse last month.

This email was first shared by Jimmy Tobias of Public Domain, who is also providing excellent reporting about the second Trump administration’s all-out assault on America’s public lands.
