Park Service Employees Offered Buyouts As 30 Percent Payroll Reduction Targeted
Move follows elimination of probationary employees, seasonal hires, as administration ignores court orders and pursues public lands sell-off in secret
Earlier today, employees at the Department of the Interior (which manages the National Park Service) received an email offering early retirement or voluntary separation incentive payments. The move comes as NPS reportedly aims to reduce its total payroll by 30 percent, and as DOI continues to ignore court orders to rehire probationary employees fired en masse last month.
